This tutorial is a detailed step by step on how to make a Byzantine chainmaille weave. We have painstakingly made these instructions so that a beginner will be able to go through without a problem. The tutorial is full of pictures which graphically guide you through each step. We will offer full support for any questions you may have while working on your piece. The downloadable file is in PDF format, if you don’t have a PDF reader you can download it for free.

Our kits will have enough rings in it to make a nine inch bracelet with a couple extra just in case you have a mistake.  The rings will all be polished and smooth and of the utmost of quality, if you don’t want your rings polished just let us know by adding a note a checkout. The kit will also contain the tutorial and a lobster clasp. You will need two pair of pliers to construct your bracelet, the pliers are obviously not included.

We still find time  to create though. Here’s a peek of whats coming your way, we are [...]]]> Well we’ve been busy here at Chainmaille By MBOI and are working on new lines and new tutorials.  Be patient with us as we are strictly a home based business and also hold full time jobs in other fields.

We still find time  to create though. Here’s a peek of whats coming your way, we are planning on releasing a new line of lanyards, pocket watch chains, tutorials and maille kits, and school spirit and awareness  items.

The lanyards have been getting a lot of attention and we have only shown one of our prototypes! We plan on putting together some with new weaves and colors.

The pocket watch chains came from a custom order request from one of our clients so props to Michael G. for the idea. They will be a while forthcoming as we are only a 2 person team and it takes us a while.

The school spirit idea was inspired by our local school who takes school spirit to the max. So key chains, necklaces, bracelets, lanyards and the like will be forth coming in a variety of colors. Just about any  color and weave combination are possible so if you are interested in promoting your school spirit or local PTA just contact us with your idea. There is no way that we can put every color combination up so let us know your school colors and we’ll show you samples of what we can make. You should also inquire about bulk discounts or wholesale rates, for large quantities we will cut our price within reason to give you a better chance for resale of your items. Just remember though that our items are completely handmade and take a lot of time so don’t expect the discounts to knock your socks off but they will be discounts nonetheless.

We are also in the process of making more tutorials and chainmaille kits for those of you who are interested in learning to create jewelry for yourselves. These tutorials take a lot of time to make as we are painstaking in our efforts to create an easy to follow step by step guide so that your experience will be fun and not frustrating. I can’t tell you how many times I struggled for hours trying to learn a new weave, taking it apart and putting it back together again. So I believe I will start putting a starter piece in the kits so that if you have trouble you will be able to pick up the weave off the starter piece. The tutorials come with the kits and are sold separately as well  and can be downloaded immediately upon receipt of payment. We will provide full email support for all our tutorials.
