Copper and Turquoise Romanov Necklace

This  lovely chainmaille necklace is made with solid copper wire and measures 18 inches (45 cm) long. The Romanov weave feature turquoise 4mm round beads surrounded by Byzantine  clusters and finished with a Byzantine chain. The necklace is held secure with a handmade S type clasp.     I love the combination of silver and other metals like copper and brass, but am at a loss how to clean them. A polishing cloth, I know, but is there another way that is less labor intensive? :)

  • A simple cleaning for silver is, believe it or not tooth paste. The copper and bronze you can use lemon juice and water. You can even use ketchup, although I usually do not, it is the acid in there that cleans the copper and bronze. Hope that helps.
